Post Interview Check List:

It is very important to provide accurate and meaningful candidate feedback to the hiring company after an interview.  We should plan to talk as soon as it is convenient for you after your interview.  It is very helpful to review and discuss the following questions:

  1. Did the interview start on time and how long did it last?
  2. With how many different people did you interview with and who were they?
  3. Did you personally like the hiring manager and could you work well with him or her?
  4. Did you like the actual position and could you see yourself being successful in it?
  5. Did you like the company/organization and atmosphere and could you see yourself fitting in?
  6. Was the location of the job acceptable and was the travel amount, if any, acceptable?
  7. Was money discussed and if so, was it within an acceptable range?
  8. Were there any negatives?
  9. How did they leave it with you and how did you leave it with them?
  10. What is the next step in your opinion?
  11. Have you, or are you, going to send a thank you letter? (Highly recommended)
  12. If you are offered the position, when could you start?
  13. Is there anything else that we need to be aware of that you feel could effect the above?
  14. What should we tell the prospective employer in your behalf when we talk to them?
  15. Reconfirm Bottom Line and any other comments?
