Douglas P. Scripture holds a BA in Mathematics and Psychology
from Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan, an MS in Taxation from Walsh College, Troy, Michigan & an MA (with honors)
in Counseling Psychology and nearly completed his Doctoral studies in Counseling Psychology at Western Michigan University.
His experience includes over twenty-five years of professional recruiting. In addition, Doug was a Partner and Co-Founder
of Preferred Resources, LLC (from 1993 to 2007), a professional recruiting and placement firm. Areas of focus have been
engineering, manufacturing operations, information technology, accounting and finance. Doug is the owner and founder
of Scripture & Associates, a human resources consulting firm, where he performs psychological testing and personnel consulting
services for business clients. A strategic thinker in human resources management, Doug co-developed SymmetricHR®,
a dynamic software tool that incorporates a symmetric approach in the hiring and retention processes. In addition to
his 25 plus years of recruiting, Doug has taught various accounting, management, psychology, counseling and math courses for
Davenport University (Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo) from 1981 to 2001 and is currently an adjunct instructor for University
of Phoenix, where he instructs in psychology, counseling, accounting, and mathematics. In addition, at Spring Arbor
University, he instructs in psychological testing, assessment, and career counseling as well as instructing in Human Resources
Management for Cornerstone University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Doug has helped individuals in career planning,
dealing with psychological trauma, stress, conflict resolution, relationships, and anxiety. Earlier experience includes
ten years as a tax accountant both in industry (six years with Fortune 500 manufacturer) and public accounting. Doug
is a CPA and combines his accounting, business and psychology backgrounds to better understand the unique needs of todays
businesses. His love of recruiting that spanned over two decades has caused him to return to that field again, joining
Quality Search. Doug has four sons ranging in age from 32 to 9 and resides in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His other interests
include Skiing, playing Bridge and singing Karaoke.
